Why I love the Seneca

Kyle Dalton: "I applied to the Seneca because I knew some great girls who were in it but through the application process I became more and more impressed (and perhaps somewhat obsessed) with the incredible qualities both within the women who comprise the group and what the organization itself does.  We are a diverse, extraordinarily talented group of women who achieve that elusive balance between work ( i.e. planning and putting on various events on campus and for the wider community) and play (e.g. dinners, date events, and the sense of humor that seems to permeate everything we do)...all the while building lasting and meaningful friendships."

Elina Tetelbaum: "Everything that I have seen of The Seneca--its mission, its membership, its events, its spirit--has convinced me that its women support each other in a sincere, non-judgmental, and non-disparaging way. Being a part of such an environment, and helping extend it to the wider Harvard campus, has been a pleasure and a privilege."

Katie Koopman: "I fell in love with the Seneca at the dessert event.  I loved how collaborative it was, working with other women towards a common goal.  My year, we brainstormed the pros and cons of establishing a Women's Center on campus as well as potential uses of such a space.  This past year, applicants planned out potential events for Women's Week that ranged from events supporting entrepreneurship among undergraduate women to historical art displays about women and Harvard.  I feel like this event is a perfect snapshot of what The Seneca is for me-- working with and bright, energetic and compassionate women to create an impact on campus."
