Women's Outreach Committee (WOC)

The Women's Outreach Committee is committed to enriching women's undergraduate experience at Harvard. The opportunity for female students to build relationships and gather advice from more experienced women and each other is a critical part of our educational experience.

WOC creates forums in which these types of interactions are possible. We accomplish this through networking with other women (both on campus and off), collaborating on initiatives that affect women, and hosting various events intended to inspire and educate the student body. We also host discussions, panels and classes for our members to empower them better further our mission.

Community Events

The Community Events Committee is responsible for organizing events for the Harvard undergraduate community, both on campus and beyond.  The committee hosts an annual Harvard-Yale football game tailgate, as well as Red Party, an open party in the spring held at a club in downtown Boston.  These events are held in an effort to expand the scope of the Harvard social scene, and the Community Events Committee is always looking for new ways to reach out to undergraduates.

Internal

Throughout the year, the Internal Committee seeks to build and nurture strong ties between the members of The Seneca. With this goal in mind, the Internal Committee plans and hosts date events, retreats, celebratory dinners, weekly lunches, discussions groups, and other events for The Seneca’s membership. Through these events, the Internal Committee fosters a welcoming, cohesive, comfortable and exciting community for The Seneca’s membership.

Development

The Development Committee works to cultivate relationships between the undergraduate and graduate community.  Their work includes planning events such as cocktail parties for undergraduates and graduates to network and socialize, as well as career panels featuring graduate members. This committee is also responsible for distributing a biannual Seneca Ink newsletter.  The Development Committee also works on fundraising initiatives in order to help further the work of The Seneca here on campus and in the broader community.
